PsychMatters is psychiatric-mental health service provider. PsychMatters provides assessment and medication management. Dr. Stewart may provide therapy or neuropsychological evaluations to complement medication management. We are currently ACCEPTING NEW PATIENTS and will be adding more providers shortly.

Dr. Trae Stewart is a Board Certified Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner with full prescriptive authority. Dr. Stewart completed his nursing education and experience at Case Western Reserve University and the Cleveland Clinic’s acute psychiatry units. Prior to nursing, Trae completed degrees in Public Health and Forensic Psychology. In a previous career path, Trae was a tenured Professor of Education and Program Director at Texas State University and the University of Central Florida after completing a PhD in International Development & Intercultural Education from the University of Southern California. With over 20 years of teaching experience, 50 publications and professional reports, and over half a million dollars in federal grants, Trae’s contributions to community service-learning, citizen engagement as a public health determinant in developing countries, and leadership has been recognized in his many consultations in Australia, Afghanistan, Palestine, Africa, and the United States. Most recently, he was named a Fulbright Specialist. Dr. Stewart brings 20 years of experience in academic, global public health, and psychiatric care to his meetings with patients.
